Cancellation & Refund Policy

Effective date: 1 May 2026  ·  Last updated: 1 May 2026

1. Overview

This policy governs cancellations and refunds for freelance services provided by Rakesh Raushan via rraushan.blog. Because I provide professional, time-bound services rather than physical goods, refunds are determined by how much work has been completed at the time of cancellation.

I am committed to fair and transparent outcomes. If you have a concern about delivered work, please contact me before requesting a refund — most issues can be resolved through revisions.

2. Refund Summary

Stage of Cancellation Refund
Before work has started (within 48 hours of payment) Full refund
After work has started, before 50% completion Partial refund — fees for completed work are retained
After 50% or more of the work is complete No refund — full fee is retained
After final delivery and Client approval No refund

3. Before Work Begins

If you cancel within 48 hours of making payment and before any work has commenced, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount paid.

To cancel, email [email protected] with your project reference or invoice number. Refunds at this stage are processed within 5–7 business days.

4. During the Project

If you cancel after work has commenced, a refund will be calculated based on the proportion of work not yet completed:

  • Work completion is assessed in good faith against the agreed deliverables and milestones in the Statement of Work.
  • Fees for work already completed are non-refundable.
  • Any refundable amount will be calculated and communicated to you within 3 business days of the cancellation request.

For milestone-based projects, fees paid for completed milestones are non-refundable. Fees paid in advance for future milestones that will not be started will be refunded in full.

5. After Delivery

Once final deliverables have been handed over and accepted (either explicitly or by absence of feedback within the 7-day review window specified in the Terms & Conditions), no refund is available.

If you are unsatisfied with delivered work, please raise a revision request within the 7-day window. I will work to address any concerns within the agreed revision scope.

6. Disputes About Deliverable Quality

If you believe the delivered work materially fails to meet the agreed specifications, please contact me at [email protected] within 7 days of delivery. I will:

  • Review the concern against the agreed SOW.
  • Offer revisions if the deliverable does not meet the agreed specification.
  • If the issue cannot be resolved through revision, discuss a partial or full refund at my discretion.

Dissatisfaction due to a change in requirements or preferences after delivery is not grounds for a refund.

7. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

To initiate a cancellation or refund request:

  • Email [email protected] with the subject line "Cancellation Request — [Your Name / Invoice #]".
  • Include your project reference or invoice number and the reason for cancellation.
  • I will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and confirm the applicable refund amount.

8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method (Stripe). Processing time after approval:

  • Credit / debit card: 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer.
  • Other payment methods: 7–14 business days.

Stripe's transaction fees (typically 2–3%) are non-recoverable and will be deducted from the refunded amount where applicable.
